Meade Utilities ltd offers servicing and repair support for Steam applications providing a variety of specialist skills for each client on a individual basis what ever your business requires. This ranges from unexpected breakdowns, annual strip downs for insurance compliance visits to boiler installations.

Our main focus is on servicing and maintenance, by scheduling timely planned visits to minimise the need for reactive maintenance visits and unexpected breakdowns.

Steam plant support services including;

  • Daily operation of steam plant: Which includes attendance by our experienced operator engineers to ensure your plant is compliant with both PM5 and associated BG01 guidance.
     
  • Annual preparation for insurance inspections: Including but not limited to;
    • Remove man hole and mud doors where applicable, open up smoke passes removing debris.
    • Check operation of all adjustable door seals.
    • Strip steam and water mountings, grind in valve cocks etc.
    • Attend whilst insurance inspector present for Part 1 & 2 Examinations. 
    • The Boiler is then reinstated with all disturbed seals, gaskets and packing’s renewed.
    • Opening of flue gas economiser for visual and mechanical pressure testing
       
  • Combustion service and support: Which can include flue gas analysis, gas train inspections and periodic combustion testing and reporting by either our own staff or specialist combustion providers. We can provide cover for the majority of manufacturers which include Hamworthy / Saccke / Nuway / Dunphy / Riello etc. We can also provide burner replacement and upgrade works.
     
  • Periodic PPM visits: [daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/bi-annual/annual] Agreed scope as part of service backed up with paperwork and reporting.
     
  • Chargeable breakdown and repairs: For all those un-expected breakdowns affecting production to your business.
     
  • Installation works: [pipes / valves / welded pipe repairs / economiser installation / boiler installations] Everything from a simple valve replacement or gauge glass column replacement to a burner, hotwell or even a full boiler replacement.

Heating boiler UT-L - Bosch Industrial

The UT-L is a particularly reliable and efficient heat generator with output from 650 to 25,000 kW at up to 16 bar. The design complies with the Gas Appliances Regulation. The heating boiler offers high performance and is extremely compact.
